hindi class/tutor in mumbai?
Hi,
I've been in Mumbai about a month now (located in Malad). Looking to find a Hindi tutor, I emailed two companies and got quotes of about 15-20k for 30-50 hour course. I'm wondering if anyone has any experience taking classes and can make a (cheaper) recommendation. Thank you |

I got a quote from a company, Professional Trainers Academy (PTCAD)for Hindi.
They have professional trainers to coach in Hindi and they have different levels of teaching depending on your requirement. Charges - Beginners batch (20 lessons of an hour each) would charge about Rs. 10,000. You can speak to Shipra on 9819822049 and get more understanding based on your requirement. where did you get your quotes from as i am still looking for other alternatives? |

You could try a free lancer for personalized training but i have no idea on the reviews.

If you scroll to the bottom of this page, you'll find a listing of "similar threads" as well. Opening any of those they will again feature such a list at bottom, etc. I don't see anything immediate on Mumbai there, but if you search on this way (or use the site's search function of course) you may find some existing answers there.

GOD that is serious money for hindi tutions. Try some online stuff, it might be cheaper. Also i think it depends what level of expertise you are seeking in hindi.

Hi,
I have undergone basic hindi training thru these guys (professional tutors academy - shipra). I have had a great experience and am already on my way to the next level ! They offered us good discount as we were a group of 6 ! Quote:
why dont you try out Professional Trainers, they are the best when it comes to learning Hindi. I have benefitted immensely. Last edited by brownboy66 : Dec 17th, 2008 at 18:10. Reason: merged sequential posts |

Group Hindi Class in Mumbai
Hey,
I’ve recently moved to Mumbai and found a lady in Dadar who conducts small group classes aimed at teaching beginners (foreigners) how to speak Hindi. She charges Rs. 3000 per month, with two, hour-long classes a week. The class also teaches us a bit about the city and Indian culture; sometimes we watch clips from Bollywood films, other times, classes are held in cool locations and she tells you about the history of that place. I think this is a fun way to learn the language, see Mumbai and meet others living in India. If anyone is interested, please drop me an e-mail (jandersantte@yahoo.in), and I’ll give you her contact information. -Janette Last edited by janette : Jan 30th, 2009 at 22:15.
