Help with documents

Hi..

Me and my fiance are planning to move next month, get married and settle down.

I would like to know what documents do i require after marriage, in order to work there legally. I mean do i have to apply for a spouse visa or something similar like UK?

What are the steps a foreigner needs to make after marrying and moving to India to be legal? Do i need an ID card? Will i have to apply for a new passport?
I heard something about a PIO.. but not sure.

I think i found my answer, i just dont know if i got it right..

After marriage i have to apply for an entry visa and then after one year i have to apply for a PIO which gives me the right to work, study, etc.

Can someone pls tell me if i'm right?

Assuming your Fiance is an Indian Citizen. In that case you would be correct.
