Okay here is another update r.e. hair girlie stuff
Beauty Centre seems to have heaps of hair products -tony & guy, Matrix, Paul Mitchell (I'm guessing Kerastase you buy from a salon), Wella, L'oreal tec or whatever it is, skin care products, wax, biggest range of hairdryers and tongs ever etc and some perfume. I think they are maybe a chain? I went to the one on SV Rd, Khar, it is NOT next to the rajasthan restaurant, apparently that location is being re-built into an 8 floor mega shop for girls or guys I suppose, so has moved just up the road towards bandra/south on right side of road. its painted pink I just got out at the Khar RTO and walked up and asked some peopleSO one floor seemed be be Western products, next floor is full of Indian products biotique etc etc, I bought almost 1kg almond scrub for 100Rs. AND they sell acetone-free nailpolish remover, which I have been after for AGES. I am surprised Revlon was the only brand that had it tho? but the find/buy of the day must be the GHD tongs/straighteners!!! prices ranging 3000-3800Rs...but NO guarantee so make sure you have them plugged in and tested first as I did see a few duds!! I was speaking to an Indian lady who lives in Africa and she had bought a pair from Beauty Centre over a year ago and they were still working. so mine are pink and almost 1/4 of the price they are in Ausplus you can also see the height of rudeness of some Indian women Bring on the new shop!! ![]() |

Thanks HoneySolI'll be moving cant wait to be part of the Mumbai gang soon lol
Cant wait, and this site has proved to be awesome esp as Aus E is trialling out all the best beauty salons and products!I've been to Lakme in Delhi last year and had some pretty good treatments but I'm sure there are lots of good places for hair, nails and beauty in Mumbai. My sis is a huge fan of the Marriot's spa treaments and she tends to go there when visiting Mumbai. I am bringing my GHD's with me but Aus E were these def the real mccoy - amazing bargain! Yes defo bring on the new shop! ![]() |
