Exercising in Bandra (inc swimming!)

Hi all,

I'm a 27 year old guy moving to Mumbai in February 2009. I'm going to be living in Pali Hill and working in Bandra. Can anyone suggest a good way to exercise in the city?. I've heard stories of gyms charging £20k+ for membership! I'm not looking for anywhere too flash. Just comfortable and local.

Also, considering I will be living in the sun for once I’d like to make the most of it. Is there anywhere with outdoor swimming pools etc that you can use?

Thanks in advance!

James

Hi James you can use the pool at the Ramada hotel in Juhu, right by the beach and really nice and quiet, esp on weekdays- it's 300rupees for the day.

Hi James,

Sophie is right - Ramada is pretty convenienent and just about right. The daily charges are 300/ or if you want to take up a membership its around 4.5 k for three months, there is an annual plan too - no restrictions and its open from 7 am-8.30 pm. Am a regular there for last 1 year now - 4 times a week and usually have the pool to myself or at best one or two other people.

And you get a 20% discount on restuarant bills etc. ( including the bar )
