Thanks for the info.
So, I'm sorta stupid...but if I'm walking to Crawford market from Victoria Terminus, which way is it. Is there a sign? Do you know how late they are open? Also, about how much will they cost? Are they big? You're making my friend who wants me to purchase her one very happy so thanks.--matt |

On behalf of about a dozen other people, what is a Cinni Fan?

Thanks for the link - I get in now - I would have guessed a sort of ceiling fan. I wasn't around in the 50s.

once u reach crawford market n ask, almost anyone wud be able to tell u where lohar chawl is, its a wholesale market for hardware n appliances, i really wouldn't know how much it would cost but its a good idea to get the price from 3/4 diff stores and decide where you wanna pick it from.

when you walk from VT towards Crawford market, cross Crawford market, then Cross the main road you will see a large shop by the name A to Z, just before this shop is a lane on the left hand . this is Lohar chawl. This is the whole sale market for all electrical and electronic industrial goods. there are many shops here. as Indira said ask in about 5 - 6 shops for the model you want and then bargain to get the best price. Make sureyou buy the original make as there are many fakes also available.

I checked 2 Fan shops in Navi Mumbai for a Cinni Fan, but both say the company no longer produces them. Is my luck likly to be better around the Crawford market area?

I thought it was like a Cinni camera - like pre video camera - and you were a cinni'fan' like you were really into it.
Shooting 'Cine' in india would be kinda cool actually(capture the chaos)like the intro of 'wonder years' except with beggars and holy cows etc. Sorry for being silly. I will stop now. |
