Where to live in Hyderabad?

Hi

I plan to move to Hyderabad in October. I would work at Patancheru, a village located north west of Hyderabad on the NN9 road, further after Serilungampalle.

I don't want to spend more than 40 mn from home to work - but wouldn't like to live too far from the city centre. I plan to move with a motorbike - like this small Honda 100cm3 - as I have experience of driving these in Vietnam (I think traffic looks similar in these countries!). Where would you advise me to live??

Ideally, I would like to live in a neighbourhood with street life and markets not in an "expat neighbourhood" but in a decent flat - if possible.

Thanks a lot for your help!

F.

Patancheru is not a village any longer, not for many years.

There has been a lot of construction in areas not too far from there recently, but I am not too well acquaintanted with most of it.

Kukatpally may be a good option.

Kukatpally is bit far when compared with Miyapur and Chanda Nagar.....So think about Chanda Nagar.....But you will be certainly away from the city centre.
But Chanda Nagar is well connected with rest of the city as Local trains reach Chanda nagar.

The best village experience and work comes from living in the village. Those that live elsewhere are always aliens to the villagers..
