Dual H... unless you have some reason that qualifies you for other than a tourist visa you cannot just move here.
Well, I guess you can... you can rent property. You will have to leave the country every six months (180 day max stay on a tourist visa). You will have to live with the uncertainty as to whether the Indian government will let you do this indefinitely. This question is asked and answered and discussed so often on this forum: please browse and search.

Visa issues aside,
-schools, many private, including some following western educational systems. No idea of fees at those, though. Fees at the 'normal' private schools should not be more than 30k a year maximum, and that too for higher classes in the more expensive schools. -rentals: suggest a visit to indiaproperties.com or 99acres.com, you can choose your options for rent and get a rough idea. Should warn you that Hyderabad realtors are not half as organised as those in other Indian cities , so legwork is required. If you give an idea of budget and/or your work location, maybe I can suggest some areas you could look at. -Cost of living: Close to that of any major city in India, though rentals are cheaper. The rest, depends on your lifestyle. |

Thanks everyone.
Nick. My wife and I are both applying admission to one of the colleges in there and I hope that will qualify to get a Visa as long as we go to school. Capt... you said 30K per year, I hope you mean Indian Rubees. I will go to Hyd end of April or early May and will update you guys when I get there. |

You should be fine to get the student visas, then ---as long ast the college is government-approved.
Best of luck with the admission --- Look forward to your updates, a lot of people are interested in studying in India. |

Dual H, yes, Indian rupees.
Some expats prefer the international schools I mentioned. ( more expensive, though) Facilities and the kind of education in many Indian schools, including the private ones, are often disappointing. I presume you will check out some schools too, during your trip. |
