Work in childcare

Hi everyone.
I'm currently looking into moving to Goa to be with my fiance and just wondering if anyone has any information on nurseries in Goa? I have worked in nurseries for 6 years and am currently manager/leader in my current job. just wondering if anyone knows of anything out there or any oppertunity for me? I cant do without working and I just adore my job and can't imagine not working with children!!
If anyone has any information that could help me I would appreciate it so much.
Thank you!!

Or any of you lovely expats would like a friendly, hardworking, fun Irish nanny with experience in working with children from birth to eleven years??!!

Sorry to break the news to you, but I can't really see how, as described, you'd be allowed to "move" indefinitely to India:

-- Unless you get married, you're not allowed to "move" to be with your fiance.

-- You're not allowed to work without an employment visa, and so meeting all of its requirements (one of which is it must be reasonably arguable that the position can't be filled by a resident Indian. I guess international schools or nurseries on the ground just might open up some possibilities here.)

-- Any sort of informal work won't make you qualify for an employment visa. I doubt if many expats would want to go through the rigmarole of acting as your official employer as a nanny, if indeed the position would qualify for the reason mentioned; though could be, I don't know.

-- (If you were to get married, I think technically it takes some time for you to be allowed to work, but I'm sure some informal stuff wouldn't have to be much of an issue. Though in a small community, being very open about it I guess could leave you vulnerable to pressure of various kinds.)

Do study http://www.immigrationindia.nic.in/ and http://www.mha.nic.in/.

Unless of course you'd somehow be of Indian origins for some generations back, this would open up more possibilities to you.

Wow thanks for your reply!! I maybe didn't put myself across very well in my last post as I had so much to say and just blurted things out!! I am just really looking for information on whether there are any international childcare facilities/establishments as I would really hope for somewhere that follows the uk early years curriculum. I know I would have to get a work visa but at the minute just trying to see what's out there. Thank you so much for taking the time to reply!
