Wanted: Furnished 1-room apartment around Candolim Hey guys, we are a young, friendly low-maintenance couple and would like to settle in Candolim for the next 6-12-24 months. We are looking for a small, clean apartment, with bed, fridge and some basic furniture. It should have reasonable security and minimum 2nd floor. If there is internet available, that would be a HUGE plus. Monthly rent shouldn't be more than Rs 10.000. We will arrive in about 10 days between 25-27th of October and planning to fix a deal within 14 days of arrival. Also, can you recommend a clean, reasonable priced hotel around Candolim for a 1-2 week stay? Many thanks!

There are tons of rentals online. Just google Candolim rental and you'll find many choices. Just booked a place in Benaulim through this site: http://www.holidaylettings.co.uk/ We were going to stay in a hotel for a week, but found our money went much further with an apartment rental.

The offers on this site are mainly for the British tourist paying 150-600 Pound weekly with swimming pools and what else. I'm looking more for something from a private owner, long-term and reasonable priced. Guess that probably excludes internet offers. ;-)

Don't book on-line unless you want to pay double or more. Just show up and have a look around. Sorry, but can't help you with a hotel for a few weeks as never stayed there.

And how about hotels or guest houses near Candolim. Is there anything in the Rs 300-500/day range you would recommend? Doesn't need a pool or any fancy facilities, just should be clean and safe.

We are meanwhile here and even found some nice place just between Candolim and Calangute, which would suit us just nice. My main problem is internet connection though. Tried the Tata Indicom (CDMA Mobile Internet) here and it's abysmal. Slower than dial-up with full network strength. Aren't there any other faster internet options in Goa? What would you recommend using? It should do at least Skype calls and decent surf speed. Arglglgglgl! ;-/

| Senior Member | I've been looking for the same, months ago when I first started asking about apts, the prices I was hearing about were way out of my price range... now I'm hearing about more and more cheaper places... I'm only staying for a month however.
