Single Woman In Goa an issue?

Hi All,
I am a single woman of Indian origin. I plan to move to Goa this summer on a permanent basis. I do have a partner, he will visit now and then.

- Do u see this as a problem in terms of acceptance?
- Is there a safety issue?
- Which village in N Goa could I live in without too much interference?

It is not going to be a big issue but you will have to make sure that you are not too friendly with the local men who work as waiters, taxi drivers, room boys etc.

My recommendation for living on a long term basis would be Assagao followed by Saipem(Pilerne).

I will be in Goa for a week bu if i like i will stay longer. my friends say South is better, drug free and local are good and very helpful. but as Goancanuck said there are posting on web saying taxi drivers not safe, i am little worried as i love to roam a lot. my friends who are already in Goa have rented a house............hope they keep me a space in some corner

Residential area

Hi,
My recommendation for an exotic, beautiful and hygienic place(close to general civilization) would be "Bokiachem Arradi" at the beginning of Nagoa(end of Parra). LOVELY PLACE.
Thanks.

hi as a goan leaving in mumbai i would say you should stay away from beach side, you shold try and stay somewhere near city like mapusa and panaji in north goa, those places are much safer and no one interf with you, basically these places are like mumbai only.have a gr8 luck donot worry you can manage it.
