Of renting an appartment

Is it fair and justice, and very common, that when you're renting an appartment for the season time in Goa, they ask you to pay the whole rent beforehand, like 5 months?

You do get a cheaper monthly rent, when you stay fot that long, 5 - 6 months.
But if you decide to leave earlier, you won't get your money back.

Then again, if you've agreed to pay the rent month by month, and you're paying "a cheaper rent" because you've agreed to stay the whole season, is it fair and justice, that in case you need to leave, say for example after 2 months stay, they still charge you the rest 3 months, which you were going to stay in the beginning?

Now I know and understand, that they need to do the business, when the time is high. They don't take any Christmas trible prize or other bookings because of somebody, who is going to stay for the whole season.

But if this is the common practise, it is a stressing practise.
