Thanks so much, Birds! I hope I can find something for about $5.00/day that's decent. Is that an unrealistic amount for a hotel near a beach? You're right, I'll go slow re my dream spot. Kerala looks fabulously lush.

You have been given some very nice tips.
Angelina from the travel bar is VERY nice and the food is also fantastic. she is also very reasonable for travel arrangements.
