Question American seeks job/roomate in S. Goa

I will be in Goa for 7 mos. beginning October. I have a PIO Card, and I need help finding a tourist trade-centered job. I will consider any job, but if it deals with tourists, then I will be most excited. So, any ideas, leads, contacts, etc., etc.??? I do own a house close to Leela Palace, and I also need to find a good roommate for an extra bedroom...should I place an ad in The Herald for either of these things?

Yes, you can place an ad in the Herald and Navhind Times. Are you going to be living in Carmona or Cavelossim? I know a few people in both villages.

Your best bet would be to look for a female employee of one of the 5 star hotels in Cavelossim. Many of the female employees of these hotels are originally from Delhi, Bangalore, Mumbai and other cities and the hotels provide them with accommodation in Margao but some of these employees prefer to stay closeby to the hotel. Some of them rent a house in the village and 3-4 of them share it.
