Websites to sell household items
Websites to sell household items
Dear All,
Well, we have survived Delhi and India and are now ready to leave finally.
Does anyone know any other websites where we can list our stuff for sale apart from Yuni-Net and Craiglist?
Much appreciated.
Thanks,

You can look for many online auction/sale websites like www.eBay.in; www.quickr.com
or else if you want an offline method you can list the sale particulars in a local classified section under sale column.
The easiest is to list here,if somebody is interested in your stuff.

Congratulations!
Where are you heading out to? I'm still here for a while, might be anything between 9 months and 20 months absolute max. Hoping for a posting in a totally different country after this. Anyway, I'll ask my wife to keep an eye on yuni-net. "It is preferable to have a criminal for a servant rather than a fool because a criminal's actions are predictable and you can protect yourself against them, whereas there is no telling what a fool's next move will be.
To g13a, Thanks for the info but I am looking for more a community based forum to off load our belongings.
To Julia F, I know. That's why I refrained from posting my stuff on this forum. Don't want to ruin it for others!
To Dillichat, we lasted two years..even my overseas Indian friends surprised that we lasted this long. Thankfully, my contract is only for 2 years.
Next stop... Singapore.
PS.. Hope u have dusted off your Contax G2... India is a hard place to work but is absolutely photogenic place for shutterbugs! Make our stay more bearable.

Yes, I've been snapping some pictures with it and even developed the film but haven't gotten around to printing yet. It's photogenic here, I'll concede that. You'll enjoy Singapore: no hassles/cheats, clean, well-organized, splendid food that doesn't have half a liter of oil in each dish. If you want western food: they have everything in the Carrefour close to Temasek plaza and the fountain of wealth. I fly over every year just to go shopping and eat pepper crab and dim sum. Curious to see where I'll end up in a year or so.
Good luck and have fun there!

I know.. I have been going to Singapore every 3-4 weeks for work... Much more civilised and easy for someone with a young family like mine.
Everything would be sooo much easier! Well, if you survive India, you can survive anyway!.. Ha Ha!
BTW... I don't print film anymore.. easier to get a Epson V700 and scan the negatives... super little scanner for film hobbyist like yourself.

I know, but there's something around a high quality gelatin silver print that e-formats will never have. If you can invest the time and make some proofs it's easy to get results that are works of art. I like tinkering with exposure times, dodging and burning, different grades of paper.... To Dillichat, Old school photography!?.. I like and will take my hat off to you. Don't have the time these days personally.
To the rest, sorry for sidetracking this thread, I tried out quickr.com.... easy to post free ad but not as useful like Yuni net or Craiglist.. Got some suspicious queries and sounded like either scammers or secondhand rude traders.. not a good experience!
