Silver Oak Apartments---DLF-1

Hello all,
We are residing in DLF phase 1 in Gurgaon, in silver oak apartments. I have heard that there are a lot of expats here. I would love to compare notes on accommodations and other things.
I can post some pics of our place if anyone would like to see, we are paying (in my opinion steeply) 55k a month for this place.
I would like to find a maid that speaks english or comes from those trained companies...anyone with info? I read on a different thread that someone had a maid for 5k a month who spoke english, anyone have one in gurgaon around mg road?
If you could also share your experiences in the area it would be greatly appreciated!

Silver Oaks in DLF Phase 1 - a 3Bedroom would rent around 20 - 25000 pm.

So 55000 is way too steep. Its different if you are given a fully furnished house with AC's and LCD's and fully decked kitchenette.

As far as maids go, try talking to a few neighbours and they will give you a better idea. For 5k a good english speaking maid who can come and clean and maybe even cook is quite possible.

I used to have a 23 yr old guy do everything when I used to stay in Gurgaon back in 2005. I used to pay him 3000, he used to come , clean the house, wash the clothes in the machine, wash my car and even cook me 2 dishes everyday. Very nice chap and you feel safe even if you have a female member alone at home. He used to do 4 houses a day ( all different times ). So a honest guy. I will try to locate him else I am sure for 4 - 5k a month you can find something like this.
