Do you guys have Bombay Dying in that part of the world?

A good standby for linens. Originally I brought my pillows from home; it's one of those little touches that makes one feel at home. Bringing your favourite soap or shower stuff is another.

What a great company name! Just found their website, maybe this will make us feel cooler!

For me it's books! We will be very glad when our air shipment arrives, fortunately it will not take long! I have a feeling that my case will be so packed with "home" things, that I'll be lucky to squeeze a change of clothing in!

Hurray! I have seen a small photo, but it only shows the very front of the property, and nothing at all of the street it's in.

Um... I'd rather you emailed them to me, rather than posting them here, thanks

Yes, Puchoo - best you PM/email each other - you don't want the whole world Knowing the house location! In fact this is one of those things one should be careful re disclosing on an open forum like this.
Haylo - I used to use nothing but Clinique because of allergies - very expensive stuff. Imagine my delight on moving here and finding all these cheap, very good products caused no skin reactions! Ayur, Himalaya, Biotique,Mauri - all good products. Mauri herbal moisturiser in a huge bottle for only 89 rupees! There are also excellent shampoos and conditioners. I now stock up here when I go back to Oz or NZ - it's cheaper!

The Khadi store at CP sells some wonderful organic herbal soaps & shampoos.
Plenty of Bombay dying outlets in Delhi but not at up market places like VV.
For furnishings visit the huge Jagdish store on ring road next to South Extension market. You will find A to Z.
For groceries and food items go to Modern Bazar pretty close to where you will be living. INA market is another place no too far and you will find all the condiments, sauces cereals etc. from all over the world.
For nice bed spreads visit Dilli Haat.

The actual locality is Lajpat Nagar...

The best directional landmark is to say...moolchand flyover..!

Thanks, I've found Lajpat Nagar, and it's not too far. Our place is furnished, but would this be a good place for a mattress? From things I've read on this site, I suspect that the one provided will be like sleeping on a rock!
