Possible to commute Delhi-Sonipat? Where to live?

I'm moving to India in August with my husband. He'll be working in Sonipat and I'll be working in Delhi. My first question--is it possible to commute Delhi to Sonipat and back to Delhi on a daily basis? How long would such a commute take, approximately? I've had a hard time finding such information online.

Second question--where could we live to reduce this location problem? I don't want to live in Sonipat, but I'm game for living pretty much anywhere in the metropolitan area of Delhi. What options are available?

A few biographical details--we're in our mid/late-20s, no kids, will have a decent amount of income though within limits. Any advice/thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

For Commute to Sonepat, Rohini, Pitan Pura and Model town are the best places to live in Delhi.

I used to study in Rohini, and there were couple of mates who used to commute from Sonepat and it used to take 40 odd minutes one way by car. Its approx 35-40 Kilomters from Rohini and almost the same from other two locations I have mentioned.
