Need of Paying Guest rooms or 1 bedroom apts in South Delhi

Hello all,

I'm an Indian coming to Delhi from the U.S. for work from June 1st through July 31st and would like to find a 1 bedroom apartment with AC. I'm not very picky, except it has to be clean, mostly cockroach and other insect free, and with a western toilet.

I'm working in Safdarjung Enclave so something close to that would be ideal. It would also be great to live with other foreigners living in Delhi for short term and explore the city together.

My budget is 12,000 Rs per month. I'd like it if the apartment has some furniture (at least a bed), is in a safe neighborhood, close to public transportation, and other necessities like restaurants, gym, etc.

Any one want to search for places together? Anyone have a room they'd like to rent out for two months? Can any one give me any advice on how I may go about safely getting an apartment while I'm still in the U.S.? Or should I come to Delhi and stay at a hotel until I find a place?

Any help/advice would be appreciated!
