NBA game?

Please help?

Does anyone know how I can watch basketball games broadcast on TNT in the US, in India?

I missed a game today. No, its not on EPSN. Its on TNT. And no, its not anywhere online. And yes, I've checked.

The next game that I'm trying to catch is the San Antonio Spurs V. the New Orleans Hornets (they're playing Monday May 5th at 10pm EST in the States).

And again, the game airs on TNT in the US. TNT, NOT ESPN!! (Sorry, its been a tough day).

Yes I'm willing to pay. And yes, it matters... that... much... (insert teary eyed expression).

I remain forever grateful for your help.

Sniff,
Anita

PS. Hola - I just moved to Delhi from NYC and am loving the experience, except for the lack of foresight on the part of TNT on providing its sports coverage globally.

Hola Anita!

Hi Anita, I'm heading to delhi in one month from Chicago. I feel your pain on the sports front. My father spent many years in Hong Kong & Tokyo. We bought and installed a slingbox in their home in the states that I use to this day to access television around the world. It is also capable of hooking into a DVR/Tivo which is even better. The price is pretty cheap & there is no ongoing fee after purchasing.

You will have to convince friends or family to hook one up to a cable box in the basement or something - but it is definitely worth it! http://www.slingmedia.com/

As an aside, did you work with an agency in finding your housing? If so, could you kindly pass their information along - assuming they did a good job!

Hi Shelmes,

Thanks for the link to the slingbox! I'm gonna look into it.

re housing: I know a good broker who helped me find a place. I can pass along his info if you email me: anitaXusa@yahoo.com (remove the X)

Cheers,
Anita

http://www.espnstar.com/tvtimes/search-tvtimes.cmd

The above link is a searchable database of all events being televised on ESPN India and Star Sports. The next Spurs game being shown is Game 3 at 5:30 a.m. on May 9 (Star Sports).

Your best bet for other games is to buy an online package from nba.com if you have good enough Internet speed.

Do check this link out ( Posted by another IM Member). He mentions that one can watch most of the sporting events in the world using that site.

Also, Go Hornets! Knock the Spurs out ( Especially, Bowen).

I am planning to install Slingbox in the UK when I move to India. According to previous posts, Broadband streaming in India may be a problem. It is a costly option as you will still need an active Broadband service, and an active TV service in the UK/US that you can control via Slingbox. It's a fantastic device.

Kabeer, the all star game is usually played in Feb. So, I guess you need to wait for next year's all-star game.

Btw, If you are really into Basketball, I would suggest that you 'google up' Dwight Howard's dunks ( Super man dunk, for starters) . He won the dunk contest this year with a slew of amazing dunks.

Thanx Londoner, Altough I am not in to football at all but still I'll get you a bottle of good Beer. When I was a child my friends used to Make me a goaley, therefore, donot have much interest in that game, although,I appreciate it more than cricket.
& Thanx for the information Batistuta, but one thing to add on Vince carters Dunk which he made in slam dunk competition is still my favourate & I think nobody can beat that, other than The Great Michael Jordan himself.

What a coincidence right? , but Kobe doesn't wear 8 anymore, he's been wearing 24 for a while now.
