Looking for an apartment in South Delhi
Hello everybody,
me (29 yrs, German, working for German Development Agency) and my friend (26 yrs, Bangladeshi, studied in Canada & Germany, working in the area of Marketing/Communications) are looking for a modern apartment in South Delhi (Safdarjung, Green Park, Hauz Khas, Defence Colony, Jangpura, Nizamuddin) from Mid May or June:
2-3 bedrooms, unfurnished/furnished, quiet location, preferably some green/parks close by, access to shops/restaurants, gym, natural sunlight (large windows).
Any hints and suggestions welcome!
Thanks!
Michael

Hi
I'm not sure if you have had any luck finding a place in South Delhi yet? I have recently moved to Delhi myself and have just been through the hassle of flat hunting (finally found a lovely one!)
Anyway I was going to suggest Lajpath Nagar 1 as you can get some great places a bit cheaper than surrounding areas. It's a lovely area very close to Centre Market (good for general shopping and enjoying Indian culture and food), and also Krishna Market (excellent for fruit, veg and everyday bits.)
Plenty of temples and green parks in the area - busy in the day time (although not when it's so hot like now!) and it quietens down at night, I've been here for a month and feel very secure. There is also plenty to do in the area and it's not too far from happening hubs like Greater Kailash etc.
I hope this helps - if you need any more advice on this area or finding a flat let me know...
