Legit spas for massage?

Would appreciate any recommendations for central/south Delhi on a spa with trained masseuses.

Having some moderate neck/back aches/pains since moving here but noting requiring medical attention. I've had good results from the health club at Taj Ambassador but am certain there must be less expensive rates to be found outside the major hotels. The ads in the local papers for massages, I'm certain are offering something else!

I know there are a number of Ayurvedic places around but figure I need something more along the lines of Swedish or shiatsu. Any ideas?

Hey, Theres a kAIRALI place is Safdarjang which comes highly recomended as a massage place . It doesn't offer what the ads in the papers offer , its god trained masseus and is run by a doctor .

All my friends who come in from the US do take a course there and simply LUV it .. maybe you cud try it -- though Ive never taken any course , though Ive been thinking of starting one soon .

Incase u need a contact number PM me and Ill get it for u !!! Which corner of Delhi u from ... ??

Cheers

Thanks

Thanks for the tip on Kairali. I'll give it a shot. Not far away from me ... my office is just off Lodhi Road and I live in Jor Bagh.

try the Biotique or Shahnaz shops in Khan Market. Even if they don't offer it, they will be able to point you in the right direction.

Thanks for the advice. I've been pretty satisfied with the spa at the Taj Mansingh so far. But perhaps the price is not out of line compared with other places. They do accept outside bookings easily during the mid-week. On weekends, they tend to keep open slots for hotel patrons.

It varies widely depending on the treatment. You can get a rate card from the health club downstairs. I think the aromatherapy is about Rs 3,500 and that includes time in the steam bath and sauna.

I would love a list of spas in south delhi.. I am going to stay in the Tibetan Colony in north Delhi.. anything there would be much appreciated too..

I went to The Alternative Center opposite the south campus in Delhi last year.
It was cheap, good massage but not so clean.

Any other leads would be great!

thanks

I can highly recommend TT Foot Care located at the PVR Saket Complex and also in Gurgaon (Balleria Market).

They feature foot reflexology, but I go for the shiatsu. It's the best massage I've ever had - and you can't beat the price. They don't use oils, but instead press points along the spine. A one hour session is 1,000 Rs and half an hour is 700 Rs. I went yesterday and I still feel wonderful. You can call them for an appointment at 011.40514561

I always feel as limp as a noddle afterwards. Check it out.
