Furniture in Delhi!

Hi everybody

I've recently settled in a non-furnished flat near Delhi University.
Anything to sleep on, eat on or cook with could help!

We definitely need:
beds, table, sofa, chairs.
We may need: tv set, hi-fi, carpet, recliners...

Why not take a tour of Panchkuia Road near CP. You'll definitely get something in your range.

Thanks for the advice delhiwala!
Our landlord already took us there but we could only find luxury furniture, not in our budget. But if you say we can get something cheaper there, probably he carefully avoided the cheap shops ^^ We'll try again in that area.

Kirti Nagar furniture market will be cheaper than the one in Panchkuian road.
There are also distress sales by diplomats leaving town where you can get high quality stuff really cheap : look in the Sunday pages of the Hindustan Times for classified ads.

Two Strong Suggestions

a) Visit Home TOWN (not Home Centre) at the Great India Place Mall in Noida. I usually buy cheap furniture there.

b) Look through the sunday classifieds for anything that says Expat / Diplomat leaving selling household items ..

You can get some good deals at their Garage Sale.

One Not so strong suggestion but it worked for me.

Goto to your local Scrap Dealer and ask him if he has anything .. sometimes you find strange stuff with them.
