Buying a mattress pad or mattress topper in India?

Hi there,
When I visited India this summer I slept terribly on the hard mattress. I know it's hard to come by a soft mattress in India (i've seen the long post on IndiaMike about it), but has anyone seen mattress pads? I will be living in Gurgaon and with all those malls, I'm hoping it will be sold somewhere. Otherwise, I think I'll just ship one before I leave.
thanks,
Jenny

You can buy a piece of foam from a foam shop (an inch ofr so of which makes my Indian mattress just bearable, or a cotton-stuffed quilt-like thing.

Neither would be easy to carry around though.

Have you considered something inflatable?

It's not hard to get foam mattresses in India. Our family has always had them. They may not be as cushiony soft as the US ones but they aren't hard either.

I don't live in India now but I'm sure you can get them at any of the malls in major cities.

Yes, they are certainly available.

I misread the post, thinking that Jenny wanted something to travel with, rather than live with
