Apartments in Gurgaon

All,

3 weeks until my move now. My work has sent me photos of a few different apartment options.

I wondered if any on here have heard of the various towers / developments and can comment on them - quality, location, general atmosphere? Don't worry about cost aspects.

Uniworld Garden
Princeton Estate
GH 1, Gurgaon One
Belvedere Tower
Essel Tower

Thanks in advance for views!

Belvedere Tower & essel Tower are top places to stay in Gurgaon and have fantastic locations - but very crowded as they are located on the main roads.

I have stayed for 2 years in Princeton Estate and I absolutely loved the place. Its beautiful, very modern and has very good neighbours - mostly young people working in MNC's.

You could choose the Princeton - its got great views as well.

Other options are - Malibu Towne, Carlton, Wellington, DLF Phase 2. Which place are you going to ork in Gurgaon by the way ?

Let me know if you need any other help regarding Gurgaon.

Where do you need to work, my friend? That will determine everything.

A fair point!

DLF Golf Course Road
Sector 54

Will have car / driver provided, though want to be able to walk to basic shops and out and about without needing a driver at all times.

Am an experienced traveller, including in India, so comfortable finding my way about and meeting people.

DLF Golf Course Road - Your best bet is DLF Phase 5 - Princeton, carlton estates. Fantastic Places.

Go for Central Park. Its next to the golfcourse, near to market, top end place to live with club house / pool etc and lots of expats staying there. Moreover, its on golf course road.

Cheers!

Hi Manzey,

Just curious: Any idea how much a 4 Bedroom lease would be there?

Thanks,

Anywhere between 70000 INR - 100000 INR ( Indian Rupees ) per month depending on the floor height and furnishing.

Usually in these high rises ( over 10 floors and more ) the absolute top floors ( penthouses ) or the lowest ( views to the garden ) go for the highest rent as there are more takers for these.

Chances are you would find something in the middle which is good too.

The Central Park is one of Gurgaons best apartments to stay in and has fantastic views. I have a friend who stays there, so I have visited him once and its tops.

Thanks, vkochar.

Not too bad, since we have all the furnishings we need, and more.

Not that we plan to move soon, we just moved into our flat - but down the line...sounds very tempting!

I am not sure of the bare apartment cost for rent, but two of my collegues stay in Central Park and they are paying rent of Rs 1,19,000/- per month for a fully furnished 4 bedroom apartment with servents quarter and the company which has rented it out also takes care of housekeeping of the apartment, changing bedsheets, towels etc.

Another very good apartment in Gurgaon area is Laburnum.
Richmond Park is not bad either....much better than Essel towers.

Cheers!

Hi Manzey - thanks for the info!

I have been to Laburnum to visit a friend. The flat itself was extremely nice, but wasn't too impressed with the general outsides.
Meaning, not too much greenery or space for the kids to run around. Also, seems like most people live 'in' - not many couples taking walks etc.

But that was one visit, and I may be completely wrong.
