The hardware comes for Rs 3000 one time.
Installation could be upto Rs 1500 one time depending on the length of wire. Cost of buying: Rs 4500. Monthly charges range from rs 250 pm to rs 450 pm.

You can find out about Tata sky by googling and seeing their website: you will see what channels are available.
I think they are still more limited than cable, but I seldom watch TV (Internet is more interesting!) so I'm going by hearsay that may be out of date. Do not expect anything like Sky in Europe or America. You will get nearly all Indian-language channels on either Sky or Cable. Off the top of my head, you should also get two or three English-language news channels, BBC World, CNN, and one or two Indian. You will get Discovery, Animal Planet, maybe History. Maybe one English movie, one English (US) comedy, channel. Its pretty tedious, really...

Yes,
I am currently working from a Slingbox, its host location is in NC (USA). We have it hooked up to a DVR cable box, so we can record anything we please. |

They key seems to be having broadband internet, which we currently don't have. SAHM |
