surviving

Just wanted to say thanks to all those that answered all my silly questions...although at the time they seemed important to me! I have happily adjusted to India and am happy to be here...no snake bites yet

Well the chair got fixed but came back with a scratch, it was not worth the battle with my credit card and Stanley boutique. I gave up. The couch now is squeaking, so I have to decide if it is worth it to call the company. The reel type mower did get purchased and this summer the gardener broke the casting...no idea how. It was welded back together but was put together off balance so our yard looked terrible. So we bought another one! We'll hope it will last. They are hoping for an electric one and we have said no way. By the way some folks 2 streets down had a big cobra this past week. I get to see the photos tomorrow.

Delayed Reaction

I was telling this to my wife today, and suddenly thought...

Wait a minute! They found a big cobra, and stayed around to take photographs?

There is a government snake-catching service, by the way. They will send someone who will find and catch a snake, put it in a bag, and take it to some wild place where it will be released.
