Hi Michael,

You may also buy Pashimina Shawls, famous from Kashmir. They are available in many shops on the ground and first floor of Spencers Plaza. However dont get conned by the Prices. The prices start from 250 / 300 INR onwards up to 1500 or 2000 per piece.

What you do is to ask the shop keeper to show various ranges starting from the lowest and if you like the designs in the lower range you may grab as many as possible. The ladies abraod usually love the Pashimina Shawls.

Regards, Raghu

Please search the forum; you will find it confirmed by Indian nationals as well as visitors that pashmina is expensive stuff.

Whatever you are getting for a couple of hundred, it is not going to pashmina. Even decent polyester should be more than that!

Add a zero. Or two.

I would suggest not to forget a Ganesh statue, in any pose or make that interests you.
