sharpening lawn mower blade
I read Rockyp44's post about knife sharpening - I'm looking for someone who sharpens lawn mower blades. The mower itself is from the U.S., so no store to go to and ask about it.
As lawn mower blades are far rougher than Rockyp44's knives, I was hoping that someone would know of a resource. thanks, SAHM |

You have to try your luck with the same guys who sharpen knifes on the rode side. If you have a gardener then send the blades with him he will find someone.

Reel or gas mower?
Gas mower blades can be sharpened pretty easily with a file. |

If you send it to me in Edmonton Canada, I'll do it for you. All you need is a simple bench grinder. Any machine shop, and som auto body shops oughta have one of those. I inherited mine from my father in law. Takes about 10 minutes or less.

Doesn't a sharpener walla come around to the streets/neighborhoods in India? Every other kind of walla certainly does. I'm sure I've seen them there somewhere - equipped with either a wheel or file.

You can get a sharpener device that attaches to an electric drill to sharpen the blade
. You have to remove the blade.. |

Something weird about lawn mowers I heard/learned the other day. The oil change plug is plastic, and its pretty well STANDARD throughout the industry. Mine broke right off, and I was all worried about getting a replacement. Then I went to this shop to buy a chain saw chain (now there's a blade) and asked. Guy came out .. "Does it look look this? That'll be $2.39.
