Rental Costs

Hi

What is the average cost of a 3 bed, 3 bath furnished Apartment on gated complex with Swimming Pool etc.

I have seen one advertised for 15,000 per month unfurnished
and another for 50,000 a month furnished, both identical, brand new apartments on same complex, one furnished, one not furnished

This is direct from the owners, no agents fee's involved, but I cannot see how because one is furnished it can cost an extra 35K is this normal? or is someone trying it on?

How do they work out what they deem to be a fair rental price, is it the same as the UK, based on the property Value?

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

15,000 is too little for a 3-bed, 3-bath apartment just about anywhere now if it is a nice clean place in a good area. It could be a misprint, could be something else wrong.

There is no set of rules for rental market in Chennai, the owner will demand the sky if he can get it, so if you are able to negotiate the price then you will get the real price of the rental.
