Osteopath in Chennai?
Hi there,
This is a bit of a long shot - but does anyone know of an osteopath in Chennai? Mr4 is in serious need of one... I'm going to post a similar message on the Other Cities thread, as we are closer to Coimbatore... but think that is even more of a long shot - and we're coming to Chennai next month. Thanks for any help anyone can give. Mrs4 |

Not a longshot at all: Mrs N and I know at least two or three between us!
Let me know where you are (PM if you don't want to post that publicly) and we'll get back to you with a recommendation.

Thanks, Nick... I thought there was a good chance you'd know one - if anyone did!
We're not in Chennai at all - but in Tiruppur. However, we're coming to Chennai early Nov so would try to arrange it for then. We'll probably stay at New Woodlands, so anything close to there. Or anything close to the University... And if - really long shot - you happen to know one in COimbatore that would be even better! (Not that I want to sound ungrateful!) Thanks again! Mrs4 |

I know one in RA Puram, so its not that far away.
He's attached to a bone doc's practice. They sorted out a frozen shoulder for me last year. You might get a nearer one just by asking at the hotel |

Osteopath, Chiropractor... desperate..:)
Nick H - or anyone for that matter, if anyone can send details of a reputable osteo or chiro I'll send buckets of good karma
am in Varanasi leaving for Agra tonight and my back has seized up so badly it's kind of put a stop on my travel enjoyment and I can barely get around for the pain and nerve pinching, putting my back out is a regular 6 month thing so I know this needs a professional... am pretty much considering leaving for any part of India that has a professional.... thanks!!!!!!!!!! |

There's a great chiropractor in Bangalore named Dr. Shailly. She is aweseom. Trained in Canada. If Bangalore is on your travel list, then send me a private message and i will get her number to you.
BTW, what is the difference between an osteopath and a chiropractor? SAHM |

I get might confused between what all of these guys do, and have to admit that I now realise that the ones I know are physiotherapists.
![]() I can do you an orthopaedic surgeon! He's the one that sent me to the physio... (whose treatment, by the way, worked wonders for my then frozen shoulder) |

CHiropractor on the other hand only deals with musculoskeletal disorders and they use manipulation of various parts of your body to relieve stress, pain etc. its more of a complementary medicine. Phsyiotherapists ofcourse deal with rehabilitation of your muscles following a surgery or other some other disease.. and its in line with your regular or allopathic medicine.. Ofcourse this is my take... VJ |

osteo or physio, just avoid the psycho! Very unlikely to relieve stress!

Nick, just re-read your comment. If you don't know of an Osteopath, an Ortho will do. Do they essentially do the same thing?
Thanks! |

I'm out of town for a week or so, so can't help just now; perhaps another member can oblige?
Please tell which area you are staying in? |
