What area would you recommend living that is reasonably close to the AI school? I'd be looking for a dwelling with 3 bedrooms, what sort of rent would be expected for that size? I realise it depends on the location but ball park figures would be okay. (I cuurently don't know what my company is going to offer in terms of a housing allowance) Also, if in the area of the school how far/long would be the commute to Oragadam?

Im sorry Ranjith, but it was rubbish. A lot of expats DO live in the city, and because we like it. Of course we stand out, but that doesn't mean that we go and hide on ECR because of that.
To the OP, I would also consider the weather while making your choice. Chennai gets very hot and humid most of the year (except December, January and February), and it is never cold. Some people find it hard to adjust to that. There are others who have gotten used to it (I am in Europe now, and find even 20 degrees a little chilly, to my own, and family's surprise...) Good luck in making the decision. |
