i am also considering boys, would have nothing against that, BUT, due to quite a few bad experiences here in India (with locals)I am somewhat skeptic recarding to that at the moment. In case, you share the kind of western thinking and living with a girl is just sharing flat to you, mail me at minja_n@hotmail.com and explain your case please. But really, I am not looking for someone to introduce all my hot visiting friends to, nor a husbend

New To Chennai
Hello Everyone,
I am also new to Chennai, I have moved here from Upstate New York. I will be living in Chennai for about a year. The business I am employed by has locations here in Chennai, so I have been sent here on a one year assignment. I would love to find someone to be roommates with. I am 25 years old, a very laid back girl, and have lived with roommates all through college..so I can sleep through anything! My schedule at work is very busy, I tend to work late nights. But, I have the weekends off. I am currently living in Velachery... and would like to live in or around this area. Also, I would like to add, I am a dog lover. I have a dog at home, but unfortuantly can't bring him here. So, anyone with a dog, I completely do not mind. I am not only looking for a roommate, just want to connect with other people in chennai who are new to the city. Please get in contact with me=) |

Useful
![]() But try http://www.starcityhotel.com/home.html --- it gets you past the awful flash intro page that takes ages to load and then booms music at you. |

It depends what you want. You can get a room in a guest house for 1,000 or less; you might be able to spend 12,000 or even 16,000 a night in a five-star suite. I guess these people are probably competing with the four to five star people who do not want a strictly hotel scene.
As a half-way house, while looking for one's own place, and for working ex-pats with no previous experience of the city, it is probably good. |
