Looking for a room/flat in Chennai

Hello,

I am a classical dance student in Chennai, and am looking out for a shared flat (with kitchen) in or near Adyar/Besantnagar/Thiruvanmiyur/Kottivakkam/Pallavakkam area
to share it with other people (preferably other expats). I plan to stay in Chennai for 4 to 5 years more, so I am looking out for a minimum one year stay.

As Chennai can get very hot and humid most of the year, I'd prefer to stay in a simple but well ventilated flat/room.

I am a quiet, simple and caring person and have no intentions or plans to practice dance or play music aloud in the flat, so please don't worry!

It would also be nice to connect with expat students / interns / working people in Chennai.

I'm female (American), work nights (6 pm to 3 am) at a call center and will be looking for an apt. in Besant Nagar. I am subletting a 1 br place there now but it is not air-conditioned and I would prefer at least having the option of turning on the AC and cooling off because next month it will be bad.

Rents in B.N. have gone down--I don't know what your budget is, but 2 BR are between 10-20,000. I have a fridge, washer and bed, but no other furniture.

If you are interested, we can meet this weekend BUT I may be going to Bangalore Fri-Mon. and will start looking next week.

My phone is 979-098-5429. You can call til 4 am, but at work I have to keep it on silent and may not remember to check my phone. Best to text and tell me how late (or early) I can call u.
