Thank you guys, No worries about the early responsed to my thread. I am newbie here and hopefully to meet a lot friends.
My husband and I, will be moving to Chennai before end of next month.

Now on a serious note

There is the Overseas Women's Club of Chennai. Lots of ladies with time on their hands to share tips, lunches and coffee. More information on www.owcmadras.com. Its really nice to meet new people, and you can pick and choose whatever activities suit you.

Mabuhay, I see no one anwered your original question.
Yes there are Filipinos in Chennai ( my wife is one of them ) and there are regular get togethers, lunches, shopping etc. so make contact when you arrive.
