How to wire transfer money?

Has anyone tried paypal to send money from India to another country. I have received money but not sent using paypal.

Kind of a delayed response, but I have done online transfers between my bank in the US and my bank in India. I've transfered money FROM the US--not the other way around. I have an HSBC account in the US, and opened an HSBC account here in India. Transfering money to my Indian account is very easy and can be done completely online with a 50 rupee charge, which is much less than when I wire transfer money from my HSBC account in the US.

I'm not sure if other banks offer this feature, but it's working really well for me. I get paid in US dollars into my checking account in the US so I was looking for the best way to get money into India. Oh, and another HSBC perk is when I use my US ATM card to withdraw money here in India, I'm not charged anything if I use an HSBC ATM in India, which is a great feature.

I've had very good luck with HSBC, which was recommended by one of the other posters. They've got branches in the US, the UK, and India (and loads of other places as well).
