Good maternity hospital Chennai

We are moving out to Chennai in October from London for my husband's job. I will be having a baby in the Spring and would prefer to have the baby in Chennai rather than come back to the UK to have it. Does anyone know what the maternity unit is like at the Apollo Hospital in Chennai, or know of any other hospital that is good. We are willing to pay for the best, its my first pregnancy so I will be a little nervous to say the least!

Thanks, Yassy

Apollo has good infrastructure, but I don’t know about their quality of care provided o their patients. You might get good quality care at smaller hospitals but they might not have the latest and the greatest equipment. I think in an emergency situation Apollo hospital might be in a good position to handle those emergencies.

Here is the list of other maternity clinics http://yellowpages.sulekha.com/chenn...centers/47.htm

Just curious, can you share with the forum on the type of industry your husband will be working when he is in Chennai?

I am from Chennai, but I am living in USA for the past 12 years and I am amazed at the pace of changes happening in Chennai.
