good bicycle shop in Chennai?

Hi,

I am looking for a good bicycle shop in Chennai, preferable close to Boat club area.
The driver only brings us to those nearby small repair shops (who can NOT repair it). We need to have a good mechanic who can repair a mountainbike rear wheel with gears.
Please don't send me a list with all bicycle shops copied from the internet. I have that, but we checked a few of them, and no good.

Thanks,
jimara

Bike Repaired

Did you ever find a bike shop or did you get your repaired. I'll be moving there in late January and pretty handy at bike repairs. I also have a question, are there areas that one can ride their bikes safety?

well.. depending on what is the type of gear and derailer - you can tke it to those delears. If you are running a trek hardtail bike with a shimano gear mechanism then best take it to a hercules dealer. In adyar there is a dealer (usually with a repair center) opposite the food world on the main road. its near the citibank ATM and Adyar bus depot.

I usually do most of the trouble shooting myself and get the mech to open it and do it.

Incase you need any more help on the cycle - gimme a shout!

EDIT - sorry - just saw that it was a 2007 post!
