Female ex-pats to socialise with?

Hi All,

I have recently moved to Chennai from UK. I am living with my boyfriend but I am looking to meet some like minded ex-pats to socialise with. I am aware of the Overseas women's club but without meaning to offend I am 25 years old and the majority of women who attend that club are a bit older!

I like socialising, playing and watching sports, especially football, going to the gym, and the obligatory girly things like going shopping!!

If anyone is in a similar position to me or knows of any other groups that I could join then please get in touch.

I highly recommend giving the Women's Club a chance! I have only been in Chennai for a little over a month and I have met a few great people of "like mind". I am also in my 20's from the US.
Go to the newcomer's coffee at the end of the month or look out for the cocktail night or ladies who lunch (don't let the name scare you - it's fun!).
Yes, there will be women of all ages - but totally worth it!

I'm in a similar state as you - my fiance relocated to Chennai from the US some months ago, and I'm visiting for a couple of months. I'll be in Chennai till early August and we are both looking to meet some people - expats and Chennai-ites alike - during my time here.

About us: We're both Indian, and lived and worked in Singapore for many years. We moved to the US over the last couple of years. He relocated to Chennai late last year, and I'm visiting over the summer till August.

Is it a all women' meet or are we welcome too ! In any case, Oxford Book Store loacted at Haddows Road is a cool place to meet for coffee and so also is the Amethyst in Gopalapuram.

The last time some of us ( India Mikers ) met at Beasant Nagar for dinner.
