Hmmm, Stella, maybe you can talk my wife into moving to Chennai! Nikki, my boss (wife) is American who visits India once a year, enjoys her annual jaunts but cannot imagine living here. Any advise?

Oh, that's interesting! So you see your wife only once a year? or I can assume you also going to States to visit her?
What can i say, every country has advantages and disadvantages.
My hubby is software proffessinal and we went to USA ( Seattle ) last year, his company sent him to work on a project there.
Sometimes I think I'd prefer to live in USA, but I can't imagine to stay away from my hubby longer than few weeks ,and since his "base" is here, in Chennai, I like it here too.
May I ask, what stopping your wife from moving here?

Moving to India

We live in Seattle and I spend 3 weeks every quarter in Chennai- I have my S/W dev company here and Seattle.
I would like to move back here and go to the States once/twice a year- Nikki was fine until we had kids- 2 boys, 3 and 1. We are coming to Chennai bet Jan 13 and Feb 3rd.
I am right now in Chennai, Besant Nagar, leaving for Seattle on the 17th.
Hope to see you soon and share your experiences.

There's a Chennai Expats Network @ facebook.

They regularly organize partys, like the one on Tuesday at Grand Orient Hotel (Anna Salai).

Oh, it's such an honour !
Well, I still don't know many places here. How about on 19th let's say, 8pm at Sparkys Dinner on East Spurtank Road?
Or anyone suggests anything else?
