Chennai Trekking Club

Expats interested in outdoor activities can consider joining the Chennai Trekking Club on one of their treks - this club is lead by Peter Van Geit from Belgium and organizes treks every single weekend to nearby and further locations in South India.

You'll meet lots of good friends here. We got several foreigners from Switzerland, France, UK.

Check out our adventures at

Peter: I have changed your email address so it won't be picked up by spammers or advertising people. Also deleted your telephone no. Not a good idea on an open forum.

It's a bit naughty coming here to advertise their group in a first post, but it seems ok.

Actually I'm pretty glad they did. As long as they are not a commercial outfit, I shall surely look them up if I visit Chennai. Some of their hike routes look quite tempting.

i think they have been mentioned on this site before. Some of that rock-face clambering stuff looks way too adventurous for this particular no-head-for-heights wimp, but other pics look very tempting.
