Chennai: Hiring a cook/cleaner?
Anyone have suggestions on hiring a cook/cleaner, maybe for 2 or 3 days per week? Does not need to know how to cook Western style food.

Word of mouth is the way this is usually done. Two favorite scams by hired household staff are asking for transportation fare after you have hired them, and asking for loans. Decide on a policy about these two items up front and don't budge from it. SAHM
