building for our church to meet in

Dear listmates,

We are moving to Chennai in March, planning on staying for 3-5 years.

We found out last week that our church (Christian) recently lost their lease on the building that they have been meeting in. They have not had success finding another building to rent.

This is a world-wide church with strong financial resources. They are looking for a building with a hall large enough to accomodate 150-300 people, along with several smaller rooms to use as classrooms. They need a central location (current location was close to the Park Sheraton), so that congregational members may provide their own transportation. Obviously it would be used mainly on Sundays, but if possible, they would like to rent it full-time, so that they can have evening activities also. However if the building is only availabe on Sundays (ie a school) I am sure they would consider it.

You might want to contact Madras Christian College School in Chetpet. We used to rent the place on Sundays for worship and they also rented their class room.
