Accommodations/Flat Shares in Chennai

Hi Jennifer,

Have you guys found a place. My friend's place is coming up for rental in Anna Nagar . Two people can share the place. they would furnish it and provide an AC also. The owners are very nice. Though my friend stays in Pune his parents and brother stay in the groundfloor and I can talk to them if you are still looking out.

I just posted a message for Jennifer reg accommodation availability in Anna Nagar. it is about 6 kms from Nungambakkam and about 20 mins travel. Let me know if you are interested. There is no brokerage involved as it is my friend's place. Owner tenant direct deal. If you want to have an idea of Anna Nagar. pl go through the link for some pictures.

hello. i am a nearly 40 year old mother , from the us....i am looking for a room, preferably with an attached bath....and even better, with a/c! Ideally in the Kalakshetra or Besant nagar area, but if its a nice enough room i am willing to commute.

My daughter is in school here and i would like to be nearby a good part of this year, and on and off in upcoming years,therefore i would be interested in a month to month situation...with the possibility of it changing into something more permanent.

I am quiet and dont smoke or use drugs, and am looking for a space that is somewhat private, that i can paint in, and occasionally have my daughter for the night. I wouldnt mind being able to make tea but other than that , i dont need use of the kitchen.

I am imagining some expatriate person or family with an extra room that could house a nearly invisible person ?

i see older conversations about rooms available...is there anything currently available in the besant nagar or thiruvanmayur area? i am seeking a clean quiet situation... somewhat close to kalakshetra , if possible. I am very low maintenance and keep to myself...would love a separate bath, and a/c but not absolutely necessary.
I am not intersted in a whole flat unless it can be done on a month to month basis....any tips would be appreciated.

A friend has a place in Kalakshetra colony near Muragan Temple/beach that is available until July 23rd or so. 1 BR, shower, kitchen, fans, furnished. It's very hot, tho', cuz it is the top floor of a house (separate entrance). I can write her in the US and see if she wants to rent it out.

Sorry I did not reply to this - I didn't get a notification tht you posted.

I would be very interested to check out this place! One complication is that I just found out that it is not 100% that I will be based in Chennai and I won't know until probably after the first week or so I am there (so probably July 10th). Do you think the place would be available then?

So you only want to stay from July onwards? The place is available from next week onwards, and we are looking for people to cover the rent, so you are most welcome to stay there from June onwards.

Have you found accomodations yet or not ? One of my friends cousin has a full furnished flat in Raheja Residency Santhome Road R A Puram, Chennai. And the best part is that She is interested to lease it out only to expats and especially those who are into Art & Culture.
