French lady (around 30 y.), working for a French company in Chennai, is looking for a roommate to join in a lovely 3-bedroom apartment in CHETPET.
The flat is situated in Spur Tank Road, about a 5-minute auto ride from Egmore and Nungambakkan.

It's a clean, fully-furnished apartment on a quiet and safe street, in a fairly quiet neighborhood. A/Cs and fans in whole apartment.

Gym room, billiard’s room and play room as well as large roof terrace with garden available for all residents.

One large room with balcony, attached bathroom, wardrobe, queen-size bed available for rent.

The bedroom will be available in early May.

I am a classical dance student in Chennai where I've been living for more than 3 months (first, I was staying in Anna N. and right now am living in Nungambakkam). I also came there to find some references to complete my Ph. D regarding Indian classical dance. Actually, i'm writing this message because I need to find an accomodation at the end of the month (may)or to share a flat with other students or expat. I'd like to stay near Anna Nagar area (Kilpauk, Nungambakkam) because my dance teacher is living there.

Is anybody can help me ?

Thanks for responding to me so fast. Do you know already what kind of accomodation it will be (A/C, non A/C, fully furnished, with housemates or not etc.) ? Actually I can afford between 5000rs and 7000rs, and I am staying in Chennai until the middle of July, so I would prefer not to pay a deposit, i mean, not a big one.

I am glad I found this thread! I am a female american arriving in Chennai in June 2009 and I am looking for a/some roommate(s) to share a place with. I will be working in Nungambakkam, but am flexible about where I live as long as the commute is not horrible.
I don't want to spend any more then Rs. 8000 if possible.

Hi Rocky - just saw your post. Your location is great - I love that neighborhood. That might be worth the extra Rs. 2000. Are you looking for someone starting in June?

Did you check the post by Celine where she is willing to share her place with another lady expat ? I know the place , Harrinton Road in Chetpet and its a lovely place. Its just minutes away from Nungambakkam and if the place is still available, do get in touch with her and book the place.

Can somebody please help me know what is the good residential colony nearest to this place is and what would be the approx rent for a 1 BHK house or for a PG accommodation?

Hi Indian,

You can look out for a place in Ramapuram or Nandambakkam. You should be able to get a decent place for about 6K . I am not too sure about the PGs.

I work for an NGO and we have an apartment in Anna Nagar available. There are 4 people in a 3 BR apartment at the moment, and we are looking for 2 more roommates (female). The rent will be Rs. 3500 + electricity & maid.
