Hello
I start working in Chennai later this month. My office is located in the Thiru Vi Ka Industrial Estate in the suburb of Guindy. Does anyone know of any decent hotels or guesthouses in Guindy or any surrounding areas? I'm aiming for the lower end of the accommodation range, and will be staying in Chennai for a couple of months. Thanks Chris |

you are better off renting a place down in ashoknagar/kk nagar which are residential areas not far from the work place you have cited.

This thread crossed my mind as I drove through Guindy... but it is one of those places where eyes are best kept on the road.
There is a serviced apartments, there is Checkers Hotel... I notices a sign saying "rooms"... There's Saidapet near by, and Srinagar is a lovely hidden colony behind the courts... Many residential areas in every direction! |

Hello Nick and Ansamaa
Thanks for your suggestions, I will use these when I arrive in Chennai on wednesday. I hope that my boss will be able to provide a few ideas for accomodation too. I'll try and attend the next Chennai meet up, if one happens before the end of october. Cheers Chris |
