| Well, four days is not long to do much at all! There are Chennaites of all flavours among the IndiaMike membership; expat workers, mixed-relationship spouses, born-and-bred Indians, so the Chennai forums are particularly rich with information such as you are asking here. I think you'll find most of your answers on the board already. It strikes me that the biggest hurdle is the place to live. If you do not know the city too well, its tough to even start looking. Four days is certainly pretty rushed. |

| Maha Guru Member | I would advice you to just hire a car and driver and take the Chennai map and drive around the city just looking at areas where you will feel comfortable living, finding a place which you like will be challenging, enjoy your stay in Chennai and update this forum about life in Chennai.

| 4 days, do some homework before landing- mainly on potential residential areas keeping in mind place of work and/or schools if required. Then you can use the time to visit the shortlisted areas. The rest can be done after you move, anyway.

| As Captain said, just spend time finding a good place to live. Once you're here you'll have plenty of time to do the rest. |
