3 months in.....Time to say Hi

Well, my family and I have been in Chennai for nearly 3 months and I thought it would be a good time to say Hi on Indiamike. My husband and I are long time lurkers here having made numerous visits to Goa and Mumbai, and the info on here has proved invaluable for all our holidays.
My husband was offered a position here and we jumped at the chance to try living in our favourite country. So myself, my husband and daughter arrived 3 months ago and so far we have really enjoyed Chennai and everyone here has been very helpful and extremely friendly.
We have now found a nice house to live in Besant Nagar and spend many a day exploring Chennai. There's really not too many things you can't lay your hands on in Chennai. My daughter, who is 16 has really taken to Chennai but does get a little bit bored during the evenings and weekends as my husband tends to hog the internet after work. So, if anyone knows of any other teenagers in similar situations, please let me know and we can put them together.
I've never experienced Monsoon times in India, so I'm waiting to see what the next couple of months brings. Should I invest in a pair of Wellies now

Well that's it for now, I hope to be in Chennai for a long time and look forward to contributing whenever I can to help others.
