Work In Bangalore

Hello All,

My name is Fate and I am moving to Bangalore soon. I was just curious, does anyone have any leads or good contacts, or can at the least point me in the right direction for work. I am trying to find a job in India prior to arrival about a month or so from now. Does anyone have any advice as to how I can accomplish this? Is there a online jobs expat area or something?
Anyone who has any information on this subject, it'd be greatly appreciated.
I'm 22, male, American and have experience with tourism and editing.

You could look on www.naukri.com or www.monsterindia.com

But employment visa is hard to obtain. This is because there's a mountain of people in India who are highly skilled but still can't find work.

As a result, India issues employment visas to foreigners only for skills either not found in, or in short supply amongst Indians.

Alternatively, for global businesses like tourism you may arrange it as a form of transfer. At least I didn't have any problems at all of obtaining my employment visa as soon as both UK's and Indian sides provided evidences they wish me to be in India "for doing the company's business" (no any deeper explanation was required). Despite of IT nature of my profession and lots of high-skilled IT Indians looking for jobs in global companies. I don't have any info how the things would be if I'd just wanted to be hired by Indian employer.
