What does an unfurnished apartment include?

When an ad for an apartment says "unfurnished", what does this mean exactly? Does it include an oven and fridge?

no....it might have fans and lights though. Basic Bathroom fixtures as well. Lot of variation, my 2 cents, don't assume anything, confirm before you go for it.

The term Unfurnished means 'Nothing', you cannot claim for anything after the deal.

Unfurnished will most definitely not have oven and fridge.

jambo - as the previous posts have said - i will only reiterate:
unfurnished generally = ceiling fans, lights, geyser in the bathroom, [ and if you're lucky ] cupboards in the kitchen.
period.

if you're coming in for a short period of stay - this can prove to be a hindrance.
but... [ always that butt ] sometimes, when here for a longer period, it makes sense spending a little, and doing the place up yourself.
sometimes 'furnished' aint what you want it to be - even the stove and oven can be dismal
of course, all this depends on the monies you want to spend on rent.

Unfurnished means walls. Oh, and floor of course, plus, as mentioned, fixtures such as toilet and shower. Not necessarily any hot water.

Have to admit that, as one devoted to the cult of clutter, living without all my stuff for six months was fairly refreshing, and I did wonder if I'd done the right thing when it all arrived!
