Treamis World School
Based on the fact that my husband's possible work place would be Electronic city, Treamis World School would be the closest option for us.
We are Australian, my son will be going into Kindergarten (aged 5) and he is currently at the American school in Delhi. Can some one tell me what this school is like and if many expat kids attend and if its suitable? I understand some Indian schools can be very accademic, with tests and exams at an early age - I am not really into that at all. My daughter ages 2.5 will also need to attend nursery next year and was also hoping that the Treamis World School might also be appropriate. Any tips, advice or experience would be greatly appreciated. |

Fyi
Just to follow up in case any one else wanted the info.
My husband visited the Treamis World School and wasnt really that impressed and felt it was quite Indian (nothing wrong with that but we are looking for an international school with a mix of both expats and Indians. They have about 20 expat kids but none in the lower classes. It was a long way out in a rural area and the road wasnt good. FYI my husband was very impressed with THE International School of Bangalore http://www.tisb.org/ and it has a very international feel with many expat kids and a mix of both highly quailified Indian and Expat teachers. The service in terms of info and tour ect which was all last minute was welcoming and informative. This of course is all based on first impressions! Which count too! let me know you want further info on this and I can ask my husband specifics. |

Another One
I was just in Bangalore. Academics are pretty stringent and demanding.
I think there are two International Schools. You mention one of them. The other with a similar name is located in a place called Kothanur. You can do a search for that place as well. Whatever place you end up with make sure it is relatively close to your residence. Travel in bangalore can be as bad as scaling Mt Everest. I hated the traffic and getting around.

We talked with an Indian woman who had her children in TWS. She gave very positive feedback, so we even started to consider admitting there but pityfully, it'd be too expensive and too far away from us.
